The Hivemind team was wonderful and created such a fun team building event for our company summit even though we were all apart during COVID. Coordinating with 30+ people was no easy feat I’m sure, but James and Alex made the Zoom intimate and hilarious in its own way. Everyone participated and had a lot of fun with it. Whether you were new to the team or had been here for years, we were comfortable with each other and really got into all the activities. I will be yes and-ing my way through life from here on out. Many thanks Alex and James!

Improv Classes For Business

Improv techniques are not just for creative professionals, actors and comedians. The art of improvisational theatre is now recognised worldwide as a unique, powerful tool for professional soft skills development.

You’ll learn how to reinforce a positive workplace culture, with improv techniques for business that help you promote measurable differences in your team’s productivity, happiness and inspiration.

Great leaders create a great culture. And a great culture, where employees feel nurtured, respected, and included, has been shown to double the revenue and triple the employee retention of a typical company. A PwC report found that every £1 invested in employee mental wellbeing returns £2.30 in improved productivity!

Using the skills and mindsets that top entertainers utilise onstage, we’ll introduce you to the best leader that you can be, with a set of tools that you can take directly back to the setting where they’ll have the most impact: the workplace.

Learning to communicate, to act generously and understand what it means to create authentic connections - these are invaluable skills that all good leaders need to progress from manager to mentor.

Why Take Improv Classes For Business?

Nothing polarises a team quite as much as its leader. Good leaders inspire devotion in their workers, while bad leaders can suck the enthusiasm out of teams.

However, good leadership means something very different to improvisers than it does to the typical working team.

Our improv for business workshops will, in 90 minutes, show you how improvisers are able to lead through collaboration and empathy, yielding centre stage to others without compromising on that all-important leadership quality.

You’ll discover some paradoxical truths of leadership. The best way of attaining respect and authority is to give it away. The best way of inspiring confidence is to be open and even celebratory of your weaknesses. And the best way to get your team working for you is to be their humble servant

Putting all these skills together, you won’t just be a manager of your employees anymore; you’ll be a mentor to those you serve!

Hivemind’s trainers joined us to facilitate an improv skills workshop as part of our London Paediatrics conference in 2019. Hivemind’s workshop was the talk of the conference – attendees raved about the entertaining exercises, which got everyone out of their seats and connecting with one another, while giving them a new perspective on how to foster a great team culture in the workplace. Participants learnt lots of tips to take away and implement in their workplaces to improve working relationships. The workshop was a fantastic addition to the conference, and I would recommend it to others as a useful training tool.
